e3: Still my ultralightweight champion

A long time ago I discovered e3, as one of the smallest-yet-flexible text editors out there.

And even though the old, old web page vanished and the Wikipedia page has been summarily deleted, I still plop down my money on e3 in any match against any other text editor, any place, any time.

Look closely and you’ll see why.

In a word, I can’t find anything else that runs in that small a space, and keeps three or four different configurations, help pages and more.

Supposedly it’s written in assembly language. Supposedly it needs no other libraries to compile. Supposedly it’s ten feet tall and breathes fire. Supposedly it can heal blindness and raise the dead.

Be that as it may, it’s still delivers more punch from its tiny island of memory than most others with far more resources.

And e3 fans can stand up and shout … e3 has a new home! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ™„

Looks like a straight-up clone of Jupp’s (spiritual successor to the famous JOE) default mode, but without all the cool features. Meh.
