jnettop: Organized network data

Too many text editors lately. Need … more … network monitors.

Here’s jnettop, which isn’t new, considering I took a first look about two years ago.

Left, now. Right, then. Not much difference, eh? 😉

jnettop wins points with me for keeping a lot of network information together in a managable lump, without wasting screen space.

As you can see above, you can keep it in a small terminal window and still get some benefit from running it at all.

I also feel like I should mention the graphical rendition, which you can get a whiff of at the home page.

But of course I lack the requisite software (and hardware) to handle that, so if you try it, you’re on your own. 🙂
